As a provider for mental health services for 20+ years, I take pride in offering the best services to my clients while acknowledging a person’s world view on “life and love and other mysteries” (from Point of Grace).
It is my belief that each of us has a “treasure chest” of life experiences, knowledge, and if we are mature enough we have learned wisdom. What’s inside of and stored in the treasure chest? Let’s search for any significance in it if such exists. Life is too short and precious to struggle even one day with unhappiness, indecision, poor life habits and / or choices, fear, and/or despair. There is a reason for all things good and bad in our lives even if we can’t see it today; so let’s work toward a life understanding, purpose, and meaning together.
My educational / training focuses have been in Systems, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapies; Christian Counseling, and Bio/Neurofeedback.
Clinically, my experience consists primarily of Mood Disorders, Body Image Disorders, and some Personality Disorders in both out-and-in-patient settings. I believe knowledge and understanding of oneself and any medical diagnosis (if there is one) is an invaluable source of power necessary for surviving the complex world in which we live these days.
A significant concentration on family problems; women’s, child, and adolescent issues including evaluations and diagnosis for ADHD and autism; and trauma recovery have become the focuses of my therapeutic work over the years in my private practice. Whatever the subject matter you might wish to contemplate, whether individually or with other family members, we’ll both (or all) be better for having pondered them together.
